Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet application developed by Microsoft.
The first version for Windows was created in 1987.

I don't use this program so much but if I have to create a calculation work with charts and tables I use it.
Advantages

The 2013 version has 1048576 rows, 16384 columns. Lets you enter 32767 characters in each cell;

It allows the introduction of multiple formules in order to easily perform calculations;

It's possible to protect the cells that the author intends, allowing edition or introduction of new data in the rest.
Disadvantages

It isn't so easy to use.

GeoGebra
GeoGebra is a program about geometry, algebra, statistics and calculations.
It was created by Markus Hohenwarter who started the project in 2001 at the University of Salzburg in order to be used in the classroom environment.

I use this program to make shapes, graphs and calculations.

You can access the GeoGebra on the official website (to save your projects you have to create an account);

It's also available as an app for Android, IPad and Windows.

It isn't very easy to use;

It's hard to share your works with others.

Easel.ly
Easel.ly was launched in 2012 and it is a website to create and share your visual ideas online through infographics. It has over 300,000 users.

I use this program to make infographics quickly when I want to create an appealing and easy to understand brochure.
